About Pelion 

On the one side you can see the Pagasitikos Gulf, on the other side the Aegean Sea and in the middle the magnificent mountain! Pelion is the mountain of the prefecture of “Magnisia” next to the city of Volos, with its highest peak “Stavros” rising at 1623 meters. 

The whole mountain is covered by beech forests, oak trees, plane trees, chestnuts and pine trees! At the lower altitudes there are apple trees on the eastern slopes and olive trees on the south ones.  

The beaches of Pelion, both on the side of Aegean Sea and on the side of “Pagasitikos” gulf, are famous for their crystal-clear waters and many of them have been awarded with a blue flag by the European Union.
