About Mt Paiko 

Mountain Paiko is formed in the heart of Macedonia on the borders of “Pella” and “Kilkis”. Its name comes from the Slavic “pajak“, which means spider and suits it perfectly, as it spreads with its low hills to a large extent and resembles a spider’s web! The highest peak of the mountain is “Gola-Tsuka” at an altitude of 1650m. 

The beech forest is also the largest chestnut forest in Greece! More than 250 families in the area, involved in chestnuts as their second profession, produce up to 600 tons a year!
